Aerfal Automotive has unveiled the AE94, a Porsche 914-based modernised classic reimagining the 904 Carrera GTS for the new age. With the AE94, Aerfal Automotive aims to offer drivers an analogue experience.
For the AE94, the Dutch start-up company doubled the original air-cooled naturally aspirated flat-eight engine’s displacement, from 2.0 to 4.0-litres. The revised mill is said to produce around 300 kW.
Closely echoing the 904, the AE94 features many hallmark design cues, from its elongated headlamps to the sculpted silhouette. Contemporary enhancements include LED lamps and redesigned air vents. Vintage-styled alloy wheels are also included in the package. The two-seater’s doors extend into the roof.
The AE94’s interior follows a minimalist approach, forgoing modern screens in favour of retro-style dials across the dashboard. The cabin comprises leather and titanium finishes. Reminiscent of those found in contemporary manual Porsches, the AE94 features a wooden gear knob.
The AE94 is still in concept stage. However, the firm said it will soon produce a prototype, before beginning accepting pre-orders. Pricing, production numbers and delivery timelines are yet to be announced.
